The Sheriff’s Office has made numerous arrests related to probation violations, failures to appear (FTA) and more recently.
On June 21, Deputy Moeser picked up 34-year-old Eric Ryan Rayfield of Coosa County from Sylacauga on active warrants from Coosa County.
Rayfield was arrested for probation revocation and three counts of FTA for payment review for possession of a controlled substance. He received no bond and remains in custody at the Coosa County Jail.
On June 23, Deputy Brown served active warrants at the jail on 32-year-old Timothy John Bolan of Coosa County for probation violation. Bolan received no bond and remains in custody at the county jail.
On June 24, 42-year-old Jeremy Patrick Rhodes of Sylacauga was picked up from Talladega County Jail for warrants on two counts of probation violation. Following his arrest in Coosa, he was released back to prison.
On June 27, Deputy Moeser responded to a call on U.S. Highway 280 regarding a woman walking in the roadway.
After making contact with the woman and seeing if she was OK, Moeser discovered that the woman had outstanding warrants in Coosa County. Casie Jane Ellis; 39 years old, of Montgomery; was arrested for probation violation the same day.
Ellis received no bond and remains in custody at the Coosa County Jail.
On June 28, Sgt. Rudd went to Tallapoosa County Jail to pick up 54-year-old Alonzo Blackmon of Alexander City on active warrants for failure of an adult sexual offender to register.
Blackmon was given a cash bond of $500, and he was released on bond to await trial.
On June 30, Chief Hammond, Sgt. Ward and Lt. Moon went to a residence on Alabama Highway 9 to serve a warrant on 34-year-old Jeremy Lee Emfinger of Goodwater for probation violation and FTA for payment review and youthful offender.
Emfinger received no bond and remains in custody at the Coosa County Jail.
On July 2, Deputy Parker was dispatched to Tallapoosa County Jail to pick up 49-year-old Johnny Ashley Smith of Alexander City for active warrants of FTA on possession of a controlled substance and FTA for arraignment. He was released on bond the next day to await trial.
