A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:33 p.m. Sunday, July 6, has claimed the life of a Montgomery woman.
Love T. Dixon, 23, was fatally injured when the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe she was a passenger in left the roadway and struck a guardrail before overturning and landing back in the roadway.
Dixon was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Tahoe; Katrina M. Holloway, 35, of Montgomery; was also not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.
A 4-year-old, 6-year-old and 9-year-old, who were all passengers in the Tahoe, were also injured and transported to local area hospitals for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on Interstate 85 near the 14-mile marker, approximately three miles east of Montgomery, in Montgomery County. Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
