My great-grandson, Chayce, turned 3 years old Sunday. Happy birthday, Chayce!

Three of my loves and blessings in life: Chayce, Chelsey and Butch.
I enjoyed Mother’s Day, though I was a little under the weather. Hope all you ladies enjoyed your day. Butch was my king for the day. He went out and brought my Mother’s Day dinner to me and fed me in bed.
Something I am not fond of is to eat in bed. I feel like I am in the hospital and really sick. However, this day was a day which made me feel well. Butch was not feeling well himself, but he was super helpful making my day a great one. Thanks to my superhero Butch, just for a day (LOL).
I had other Mother’s Day treats that blessed me. I had been in a dry desert for quite some time after losing many loved ones, one after another, and it was very hard for me more than ever before. While nursing a sore throat at home Sunday I decided to scroll through my phone and ran across Pastor Benson of Rockford First Baptist live preaching about Moses and raising and releasing your children.
I was blessed. He brought me out of the desert grasping for the water. Then Pastor Hill of Rockford Church of God called to check on me, and he blessed me with some water, speaking on the book of Moses, too.
The Holy Spirit is awesome. I am not thirsty right now. I am filled again with God’s holy water. This is why I praise God at all times and for all things. Sometimes you have to go to the desert to drink God’s water to praise and thank Him for His goodness.
Many times we lose focus on this dry land until we get thirsty. But God’s living water is always running, and I will always trust Him in any situation!

Happy birthday to my great-grandson, Chayce, who turned 3 years old on Mother’s Day this year. He made my Mother’s Day special before Mother’s Day. He never knew that I love wild flowers. As a little girl all I would do when I was outside playing was picking wild flowers and enjoying Mother Nature.
When Chayce comes to see me this time of year when flowers are blooming, he reminds me of me when I was small. A few days ago he was outside playing kickball with his dad and sister, and he saw all the flowers.
He decided to stop for a moment and picked me flowers. He chose the prettiest one out of the bunch and told his sister, “I want to give this to Ma Ruby.” They came inside, and he gave it to me, both of them with so much love in their eyes. It made me shed a tear of joy.
You hear some folks say grandparents love their grandchildren more than their children. I say grandparents love their great-grands more. These two great-grands of mine are so lovable. You cannot help but love them. Grandkids think we owe them, but not the great-grands. They want to give you all their love, even the great-grand nieces and nephews.
There’s so much I can say about children, but I will save them until another time. Children are real and precious.
“It is easier to raise children than to heal broken men.”
