A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:53 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, has claimed the life of a Vincent man.
Donald M. Harris, 76, was fatally injured when the 2010 Toyota Tacoma he was driving collided head-on with the 2023 Mazda CX-9 driven by Jennifer H. Robbins, 46, of Goodwater.
Harris was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Robbins was injured and transported to University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) Hospital in Birmingham for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 280 near the 19-mile marker, approximately three miles east of Chelsea, in Shelby County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
