Buzzy the Buzzard
I sure appreciated Ms. Pam’s picture of the cousins in last week’s paper. Rockford has been blessed with a large buzzard family for many years. We used to hang out on the water tower, but now it seems we have moved down to the trees on the vacant lot behind the historic jail.
We gather, we gossip, take sides, tell jokes, talk politics, and laugh a lot. We are a community.
Humans need community, too. We face a lot of divisive issues as a nation and as a town. Maybe in the coming year, folks can learn to be like those cousins and hang together.
