On Friday, January 3, a contraband incident was reported at Easterling Correctional Facility.
The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) Law Enforcement Services Division (LESD) arrested contract security officer Khamya Rynea Walker and charged her with second-degree promoting prison contraband, conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime and possession of a controlled substance.
She was transported to the Barbour County Jail without incident.
Walker is an employee of Security Solutions, a contract security company for ADOC.
The LESD investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be pending.
