A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:05 a.m. Saturday, November 30, has claimed the life of a Deatsville man.
Matthew T. Lock, 31, was fatally injured when the 2017 Nissan Altima he was driving left the roadway, crossed over a ditch and overturned. Lock was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 111 near the 5-mile marker, approximately five miles north of Wetumpka, in Elmore County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
