A Richville man was arrested last Friday for a case of burglary and theft in the same community, thanks to security footage.

Chief Deputy Scott Hammond reported that on November 8, Investigator Middlebrooks received a call in reference to a burglary in the Richville area.

He arrived on the scene and spoke with the victim, who said she had camera footage of the burglar. Middlebrooks and the victim reviewed the footage and identified a suspect.

Middlebrooks went to the residence of Wayne Allen Golla; 62 years old, of Richville; in reference to the burglary.

After conducting a field interview, it was determined that Golla had committed the burglary. He was arrested November 8 and charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree theft of property.

Golla’s bond was set at $7,500. As of press time he remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
