PUBLIC NOTICE REGARDING JUNE 21, 2022, PRIMARY RUNOFF ELECTION
Pursuant to the Code of Alabama (1975), as Amended, notice is hereby given of the following regarding Coosa County, Alabama, 2022 Primary Runoff Election.

Alabama Gubernatorial Runoff elections will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
The Primary Runoff Election is the final step toward selecting candidates for the Democrat and Republican parties for the offices appearing on the November 8, 2022, General Election ballot. In the Primary Runoff Election, the only offices appearing will be offices that appeared on the May 24, 2022, Primary Election ballot for which no candidate received 50 percent or more of the ballots cast.
The Primary Runoff Election is a “party election.” Any voter who participated in the Democrat or Republican May 24, 2022, Primary Election must vote a ballot of the same party. There can be no split-party or cross-over voting in the primary runoff elections.
Any voter who voted a Constitutional Amendment Only ballot or did not participate in the May 24, 2022, Primary Election may participate in the June 21, 2022, Primary Runoff Election. However, this time the voter will have to declare a Democrat or Republican ballot preference.
As a reminder, all Coosa County Polling Facilities/Places are handicap accessible and have all the required voting equipment to assist voters with the voting process. Any voter may bring someone to assist the voter in casting a ballot or ask any person (except an employer or union representative) the voter desires to assist the voter with casting a ballot. Curbside voting in Alabama is expressly prohibited, all voting must be accomplished inside the polling facility. Ballots may not be taken outside the facility.
Polling facility locations are the same as they were for the 2022 Primary Election (See the Polling Officials Listing in this CCN issue).
Absentee voting will remain in the Courthouse, in the Judge of Probate’s office. The last day to hand-deliver an Absentee Ballot is Friday, June 17, 2022.
