This year National Voter Registration Day is Tuesday, September 15. Every year Central High School senior government students complete voter registration forms as part of their study of civic responsibilities.
We appreciate the longstanding partnership with Mrs. Pinky Reichert at the Coosa County registrar’s office who works hard every year to enter all our senior registration forms into the system as the students become age eligible. Because of the large number of registrants, the Central High School voter registration drive is usually the largest voter registration drive in the county each year.
Many of the seniors are excited to be able to vote for their first time in the upcoming midterm general election November 3. The deadline to register to vote in Alabama is Monday, October 19.
