Equality & Nixburg News
Jennifer Williamson
Summer is almost here, but the heat and humidity have arrived already. The humidity is limiting how much I can get done outdoors as I have to stop frequently to hydrate and cool down. But I was able to get the lawn mowed with help from my husband, but a lot more line trimming needs to happen as the recent rains have things growing quickly.
I also got three new shrubberies planted along our fence line next to the gate, but couldn’t get to the other three, so maybe next weekend.
The roof is being replaced on Jenny’s General Store. I know I have said it was going to happen several times, but now that we have some days without rain it can get done. Cleaning up the property where the greenhouse once stood, as well. It should make for nice additional parking, or even space for outside sales.
Oh, and I noticed the for-rent sign came down on one of the Tidwell’s buildings that formerly housed the antique store. So excited to find out who is moving a business into downtown Equality. I will be sharing whatever I find out here so everyone knows about the new business opportunity to shop at.
