Alvin “Stanley” Baker
Funeral service for Mr. Alvin “Stanley” Baker, 71, of Kellyton, was Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Jordan officiated. Burial followed in the Kellyton Memory Garden.
Alvin “Stanley” Baker; a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend; passed away surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of Kellyton, Stanley was known for his passionate and loving nature, his friendly demeanor, and his unwavering faith. He was a beacon of light to all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Born to Joe Fletcher Baker and Lizzie Mae Hand, Stanley attended Kellyton School, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with love, music, and community. He met and immediately fell for the love of his life, Sheila Bridges. Stanley is survived by his devoted wife, Sheila; his son, Steven (Amy) Baker; his daughter, Carolyn J. (Jamie) Baker; his stepdaughter, Donna M. (Donny) Ray; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the apple of his eye: Ethan Baker, Lili Fuller, Kaleb Baker, Kairi Baker, Greyson Baker, Christin Fancher, Chris (Lindsey) Shurum, Chance Shurum, Chloe Ray, and TJ Ray.
Stanley’s work history was as vibrant as his personality. For 30 years, he played the harmonica with soulful artistry in the Blue Country Band. His music brought joy to countless listeners and was a testament to his love for life and the joy he found in sharing his talents. Stanley was also deeply involved in his community, where his presence was a constant source of comfort and camaraderie.
He enjoyed reading the Bible and other religious books, drawing strength and inspiration from their teachings. His commitment to his faith was evident in his everyday actions and the love he spread to those around him.
Stanley’s interests reflected the essence of who he was: a man who took pride in his surroundings and his appearance. He loved working in his yard, ensuring it was always clean and inviting. He kept his house clean and tidy; a reflection of the orderly and thoughtful way he lived his life. Always well-dressed, Stanley’s wonderful personality shone through in his impeccable style.
Those who knew Stanley will remember him as a man who never met a stranger. His ability to connect with people from all walks of life was one of his most remarkable traits. He was the heart of every gathering, and his absence will leave a void that cannot be filled.

Carl Monroe Boldin
Funeral service for Mr. Carl Monroe Boldin, 83, of Alexander City, was Monday, February 9, 2026, at Faith Temple. Pastor Dick Stark officiated. Burial followed at Hillview Memorial Park.
God called Carl home in the early morning of February 4, 2026. After a loving squeeze of the hand from his beloved wife, he was welcomed into Heaven by his loving heavenly father and all of his family and friends before him. Born on June 9, 1942, to Lloyd Moore Boldin and Ruth Adelaide Wright Boldin, Carl was a loving example of faith and compassion throughout his 83 years on Earth. His devotion to his Christian beliefs was unwavering, and his life was a living testament to the values he held so dear.
Carl served his country with pride as a member of the United States Air Force, reflecting his selfless spirit and patriotism. No less important was his participation in the Faith Temple community, where he was a faithful member, deeply involved in the church’s life and activities. His commitment to his faith was evident in the way he conducted his life, always striving to embody the love and teachings of Christ.
Those who knew Carl were familiar with his love for yard sales, but none more so than the famed Longest Yard Sale, which he looked forward to every year. It wasn’t just about the treasures he could find; it was about the joy of the journey, the people he would meet, and the stories that each trinket could tell.
In collaborating with his brother on numerous projects, Carl found great joy and satisfaction. This partnership went beyond just completing tasks; it was a bond of creativity, hard work, and laughter that only siblings could share so fully. He was indeed a family man at heart, prioritizing the wellbeing and happiness of his relatives above all else.
Always one to extend a helping hand, Carl was the embodiment of the Christian call to service. His compassion for others knew no bounds, and he was often seen assisting neighbors, friends, and even strangers with whatever trials they faced. His acts of kindness left an indelible mark on the community, a testament to a heart that genuinely understood the grace of giving.
Carl’s life was one of love, service, and dedication – not only to his family and faith, but to anyone whose life he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, charity, and devoutness, traits that will forever be cherished and upheld by those who had the good fortune to cross paths with him. He is survived by his wife, Clodean Boldin of Alexander City; daughter, Valerie (Reid) Jenkins-Weaver of Tacoma, Wash.; sons, Gary (fiancé, Brandy) Boldin of Kellyton and Ricky Robinson of Alexander City; grandchildren, Stephanie (Eric) Lucero, Joey (Bridgette) Jenkins, Christian (fiancé, Cody) Boldin, Walker (fiancé, Madie) Boldin, and Brandon Grant; great-grandchildren, Charley Lucero, Rilyn Lucero, Eloise Grant, MacKenzie Jenkins, and Kaden Jenkins; brother, Robert Boldin; sister, Carolyn (Mac) McDaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gilbert Boldin.
