Coosa County is taking sealed bids for labor, equipment, materials, and any incidentals required to complete the work required for the Project No. RA-CCP 19-04-26, Full Depth Reclamation and Surface Treatment on CR-54 From SR-259 to the Tallapoosa County Line, for the county. This bid is intended to comply with the Rebuild Alabama Act, No. 2019-2, and Alabama Code Title 39, the Alabama Public Works Law. WHEREAS, the COOSA COUNTY COMMISSION as the County governing body, shall designate the places for holding elections in the precincts established, as provided by Section 17-6-4, Code of Alabama, 1975, and

WHEREAS, it has been determined that a change in the places for holding elections in certain precincts located in the County will benefit the voters therein; and

WHEREAS, the Commission has entered into an agreement with an owner of real property for use as a voting place;

Housing Authority Invites Comments on Draft Plans

The Goodwater Housing Authority’s (GHA) draft annual and five-year plan has been reviewed and discussed at the February Resident Advisory Board Meeting. The Board of Commissioners of the GHA has also reviewed the draft plan and given their consent. The item in the plan, which impacts public housing residents the most, is the Capital Improvement Plan.

The GHA invites all GHA residents and other interested parties to submit comments and suggestions on the draft plan for consideration prior to the adoption of the final plan. The time period allocated to provide public comments begins February 19, 2026, and ends April 6, 2026.
