On Wednesday, January 21, the ADOC K-9 team assigned to Bullock Correctional Facility was notified that contraband was discovered on chaplain volunteer Andrew Turner, a former inmate.
The K-9 team conducted a search of Turner’s vehicle and discovered an illegal handgun and marijuana.
He was detained and interviewed by ADOC agents and subsequently arrested and transported to the Bullock County Jail where he was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.
The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be pending.
