Heather Michelle Martin

A Hueytown woman was arrested on multiple charges last Tuesday after initially failing to pull over during a traffic stop.
On October 14, Deputy Ryan Brown was on routine patrol on U.S. Highway 280 when he observed a vehicle swerving across the line numerous times.
Brown conducted a traffic stop and approached the vehicle, identifying the driver as 46-year-old Heather Michelle Martin. As he had her exit the vehicle, Brown smelled the scent of alcohol on her person.
As she exited the vehicle, Martin allegedly pulled away from Brown and was in the middle of the highway. Brown got her off the roadway and back to the side of the road.
He proceeded to ask her to do a field sobriety test, and she declined. Brown informed Martin that she was under arrest for driving under the influence and attempting to elude, because she drove several miles after he initiated his lights.
Martin attempted to jerk away from Brown once again, but was ultimately arrested and charged with driving under the influence of any substance, attempting to elude and resisting arrest.
Martin’s total bond for all three charges was set at $4,000. As of press time she remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
