Equality & Nixburg News
Jennifer Williamson
Our livestock guardian dogs are adjusting very well. They have stopped leaving the yard, even when chasing a predator from the yard this week.
They are putting on weight, and their coats look much better, but I still need to groom them. Well after rolling in a rain puddle, I need to give them a good wash, then groom them. I have them scheduled for spaying, as well.
They know when I am heading home and meet me at the gate, which is really sweet. And all the livestock is adjusting well, other than the ducks who still don’t trust them just because they are dogs.
Jenny’s General was hoping to upgrade the digital sign with payment from the driver who crashed into the original sign; however, payment hasn’t arrived as promised. But once it does the digital sign will get hung perpendicularly to the road so traffic can read it without straining their neck as they drive by.
Then the next major project will be replacing the roof and interior lighting. If foot traffic doesn’t increase then the building will be in great shape to sell.
Please continue to support ongoing activities such as by Kendrick Memorial Baptist Church’s yard sale. It is held most Saturdays starting at 8 a.m. Address is 5152 Ala. Highway 9 in case you haven’t noticed it driving on Highway 9.
