A Goodwater man and woman were arrested late last month on drug-related charges involving having a child in the residence.
Initially on May 25, Deputy Moeser came in contact with an individual at the Exxon in the Kellyton area. The individual told him to step out of the store because she needed to talk to him.
The woman proceeded to tell Moeser that she was not allowed to go back to the house, something she was reportedly told by her ex-boyfriend. She further told Moeser that she and another individual smoked marijuana and methamphetamine.
The investigation began when it was disclosed that children were in the house while they were smoking marijuana and meth.
After being told this information, on June 27 Moeser was dispatched to a residence for a domestic dispute. The residence was the same one in reference to the May 25 conversation.
After further investigation of the case, it ultimately resulted in 41-year-old Robert Adam Shutes and 38-year-old Suzie Lee George, both of Goodwater, being arrested and each charged with chemical endangerment of a child.
Bonds for each of them was set at $10,000 each, and they were both released on bond the next day to await trial.
