Do you live on, recreate on, or spend time near the Coosa River? Whether you boat, fish, waterski, live, work, or play near the Coosa River – Coosa Riverkeeper wants to hear from you!
Coosa Riverkeeper is partnering with the University of Auburn at Montgomery to develop a research study on how the Coosa River impacts our local economies, tourism, recreation, and more. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the economic impact that the Coosa River and its lakes have on residents, businesses and tourists in the region.
The results of this study will be used by Coosa Riverkeeper for educational purposes and advocacy campaigns to protect the Coosa River along with its many economic and ecological assets.
To develop a meaningful economic study of the Coosa River, the Coosa Riverkeeper team has launched an online survey to capture data and information from the folks who live on, recreate on, or visit the Coosa River and its lakes.
Coosa Riverkeeper’s survey will learn information such as your spending habits on the river, where you choose to recreate and how you enjoy your time on the Coosa as a whole. This survey has the option to remain anonymous, can be submitted in roughly 10-15 minutes, and all information will remain private and confidential.
Every response will be invaluable in helping Coosa Riverkeeper better understand what this critical natural resource means to our communities.
