Special to the News
Mike Holmes from the American Legion Post 45 presented a beautiful gift to the Weogufka Neighborhood Watch on March 20.
They donated a handmade stand with flags representing all branches of the U.S. military, along with a table that Holmes personally built for the display.
The veterans from Post 45 wanted to thank the Weogufka Neighborhood Watch group for help given in the past. The Weogufka Veterans’ Memorial Monument is the Neighborhood Watch’s main project that we are honored to have.
Tickets are now being sold for a chance to win $25 and $50 Visa cards to be drawn at Weogufka’s Farm Day on April 26. Cost of a chance to win is only $1!
The Weogufka Neighborhood Watch meets every third Thursday at 6 p.m. for a potluck supper and meeting in the old Weogufka school lunchroom. Everyone is welcome!
If interested contact Joey Moore at 205-294-4762 or Mary Alyce Bennett at 256-267-6885.
