March 21

Rockford Baptist Church will host movie night, presenting “When the Game Stands Tall,” a 2014 American sports drama directed by Thomas Carter and an adaptation of the 2003 book by Neil Hayes, starring Jim Caviezel, Laura Dern, Michael Chiklis, and Alexander Ludwig. Movie night will be held at 6 p.m. March 21 at Rockford Baptist Church. 9575 U.S. Hwy. 231, Rockford.

 

March 27-29

Rockford Baptist Church will hold an indoor charity yard sale March 27-29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday. Proceeds to benefit The Shepherd’s Closet. Men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, housewares and lots more! The indoor yard sale will be held at the church, located at 9575 U.S. Hwy. 231, Rockford.

 

April 5

The Holly Springs Baptist Church and Cemetery Association in Coosa County will hold its bi-annual meeting on Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m. at the church. All members, please attend. We will be discussing plans for Holly Springs’ 175th Homecoming. We want to make it a special day and appreciate input from all members.

 

April 6

S.P.U.R.S. Ministries will host the Horse Whisperer on April 6 at the Central Coosa Cowboy Church. Lunch served from 12-2 p.m. Event starts at 2 p.m. Open to the public – everyone is welcome! This is a free event! The Central Coosa Cowboy Church is located at 17257 U.S. Hwy. 231, Rockford, 35136.

 

April 28

Tee up for Hunger: Charity Golf Tournament will be held April 28 at 9 a.m. at Lakewinds Golf Course in Jackson’s Gap. Come have fun while helping us stop hunger among Coosa County families, senior adults and children. There will be prizes, food and door prizes!
