The Cougars started racking up wins last Wednesday with their win against Loachapoka with a score of 17-7, they continued on Thursday with a win against Talladega with a score of 20-9, and then came back this week with a win of 9-8 against Anniston and another win against Loachapoka with a score of 9-2. Antoneo Grant drove in four runs on three hits to lead the Cougars past Loachapoka last Wednesday. Grant singled in the second inning, scoring three runs, and tripled in the sixth inning, scoring three.
Jacob Stevens started on the mound surrendering zero hits with relief pitcher C-Jay Franklin striking out eight.
During last Thursday’s game against Talladega, the Cougars jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Ethan Cosby tripled, scoring two runs.

In Monday night’s game against Anniston, the Cougars got out to an eight-run lead in the second inning. Antoneo Grant doubled, scoring two runs, and C-Jay Franklin and Riley Humphrey both singled.
Riley Humphrey started on the mound, giving up zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Bryant Wickersham came in as relief, striking out four.
In Central’s second win against Loachapoka, Jay Wilson led with two runs batted in. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. The Cougars also stole nine bases in the game.
On the mound, C-Jay Franklin struck out nine with no walks.
