A pastor was asked to visit a lady who was in the nursing home. Her daughter was concerned about her, because she seemingly had given up on life. She no longer tried to communicate and would not talk.
So, the pastor went to the nursing home and found the room that the lady was in. He went in and told her who he was and that he had come to pray with her and anoint her with oil. Then he started feeling around in his pockets and discovered that he had left the oil in his car.
So he said to the lady, “It looks like I have left my oil. So, I’ll just use a little spittle instead.”
The lady came out of her shell and said, “You better find that oil.”
She began talking again, and she and the pastor had a very good conversation that day.
He called the daughter and told her that it looked like her mother was cured.
