Tracking county vehicles
Attention Tax Payers of Coosa County,
At the January 9 County Commission meeting it was discussed by a tax payer why our Highway Department hardly ever finishes a road project, such as patching holes and cutting brush from sides of roads, before moving on to another area.
We have pipes falling in on main roads and head walls falling off at the end of the pipes in District 5. These roads are dangerous.
Commissioner John Forbus suggested putting GPS trackers on all 49 vehicles in the county. This would protect the county employees, as well as keep up with where these vehicles are.
I don’t care if you are Republican or Democrat, this is a county matter!
Please call your commissioner and demand trackers on these vehicles.

Remembering those who serve
On Monday, January 15, many cities and states observed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s holiday, which is the actual date that he was born. The world rejoices and mourns because of his legacy, as well as despite his assassination! Dr. King’s dream lives on, and individuals need to have dreams for themselves and families!
Remember and pray for the late Mr. Martin and Mrs. Coretta’s living children for indeed Minister Bernice, Mr. Martin and Mr. Dexter are truly living out history as they tell about their dreamer parents, as well as live in real society where they dream a new day’s dawning without the Drum Major of Justice and deceased sister, Ms. Yolanda King! Also note that Dr. and Mrs. King never had opportunity to enjoy the joy of a granddaughter that is now sharing dreams of them!
Mr. David Tuck was a dreamer! He achieved so much throughout his lifetime while serving his family, local, county and state communities! As the Drum Major for Justice continues for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., thereby the Drum Beat for Justice for Mr. David Tuck continues, too! This is no comparison between the two.
As we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Monday with parades, community and statewide events, take time to reflect and recall others that we know who served or are serving today!
After the national holiday, let us share history throughout our generations that even after we expire from creation earth, others can keep dreams and factual historical information alive!
Quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, “Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve.”
Mr. David Tuck quote, “We can’t stop; we got to keep going on.”
That he did until death! He was faithful to his loving wife, Mrs. Hilda Tuck.
