Judy Hilyer Calloway

Judy Hilyer Calloway, daughter of Grover and Dollie Hilyer, transitioned from this world to the presence of Our Lord on Thursday, November 16, 2023, following an extended illness.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 years, Bill Calloway; her son, Billy Calloway; and her brother, Coley Hilyer.

She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Holman Wingard and Allison Calloway; her sister, Ollie Jo Owsley; her brother, Larry Hilyer; and nieces and nephews.

Judy loved her family with her whole heart; she fondly recalled the night she asked Jesus to be her Lord and Savior. Judy knew that she would see her loved ones who went to heaven before her again one day, and now that day has come. We miss her dearly here, but we know there is celebration in heaven now that she is truly home. Although she was in their care for only a short period of time, the family wants to thank the employees of Enhabit Hospice who supported them as they provided Judy with the care she needed during a very difficult time.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held after the first of next year with the date to be announced by the family.

We are thankful for your continued prayers as we deeply miss the presence of our loved one.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Swamp Creek Cemetery Fund; 1714 Coosa County Road 3; Rockford, AL 35136 in memory of Judy Calloway.
