PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT! Last week I talked about our new ambulance service in Coosa County. One thing I failed to mention was that most of the folks working for the Coosa County Ambulance service are new to Coosa County and are learning their way around.
In order to help them – and ourselves – they need us to put the blue or green E-911 address signs by our DRIVEWAYS. Not by our mailboxes unless they are AT the driveways. They are making runs to areas they have never been to, and they are going as fast as they can, but they need as much help as we can provide to help them find our homes.
If your street address sign is at your mailbox, please either move it or get another one for your driveway. So many of our homes are set back in the woods and can’t be seen from the main road. Many others are down driveways that serve several homes. We need to make it as easy as possible for first responders, fire departments and law enforcement to find our homes when we need them the most.
The national political scene just gets more ridiculous and scarier. We now have the two front runners for president of the United States under investigation of alleged crimes against our country! Unfortunately, the coverage is only on certain news outlets. And I DO use the term “news outlets” sarcastically. I’m not sure there is really such a thing anymore.
Our former president is being indicted almost daily as news of the current president’s escapades are coming out faster. It’s hard to weigh the spin that is going back and forth. Right now, most of the news on our former president is the reporting of court cases being decided or new ones filed. Many of his employees are being charged with crimes in the hope of getting them to flip and provide information for the prosecutors.
Most of the news on the current president is on the whistleblowers coming forward to testify in front of Congress about his dealings with foreign countries by both him and his son, Hunter. They, along with other members of his family, have made hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign companies who are connected with China and Ukraine. Unfortunately, there are enormous amounts of bank records, emails, and videos that substantiate much of this. But thank goodness, he has finally acknowledged his sixth grandchild who he had not included in his family for four years.
It’s up to each of us to make up our minds about what is going on. Since there is not a true “news” outlet that gives both sides of the stories it’s difficult for us to know who to believe. All outlets now have taken sides and only show the coverage of the side they are backing.
The people they are interviewing are “spinning” their side. And most of them are ENTIRELY positive of the innocence of their guy! Even when there is video evidence that backs up some of the charges. We really need to take time to look at all of this with objective eyes and ears before making our decision if either side or neither side is to be believed.
Now, keep in mind, only one of these men has been charged with an alleged crime. Most of those charges were put forward first when he went through the impeachment proceedings – twice – while he was still in office, but he was not found guilty by the U.S. Senate.
He was investigated by every possible committee in both the House and Senate – many of those hearings were televised for us to watch. The other man is now going through the same investigations, and there are now rumors of potential impeachment proceedings against him soon.
Meanwhile, we still have an open border and have some mayors deciding to hire some of these illegal immigrants as law enforcement officers! Illegal immigrants are receiving almost all the rights and programs that are provided to the legal residents of our country – housing, driver’s license, voting rights, education, medical care – FREE. Have you or a family member ever been turned down for assistance when it was needed? I know some who have – and they only needed it as a temporary HAND UP and not as a lifetime HAND OUT. If you work and pay taxes, who do YOU want to help? The government now mandates who we make charitable donations to!
Alabama again has been punished for political purposes. In 1965, President Lyndon Johnson shut down Brookley Air Force Base in Mobile because the state voted against him. Now, because Sen. Tuberville opposed taxpayer-funded abortions for the military, President Biden has decided not to locate the Space Force headquarters in Huntsville as planned. Even U.S. Rep. Terry Sewell is upset about this.
Why in the world can you go in the U.S. military and receive medical services for VOLUNTARY medical procedures like abortions and sex change surgeries? The same thing goes for prisons! No wonder there are so many confused people wanting to join the military. We are in deep ****, my friends!
For all my Christian friends out there – are you seeing the end times coming? Are you seeing the signs that were predicted and that we have been told about? If so, are you ready? The signs are coming faster and faster. It might be time to reread Revelation if we need a refresher!
I would talk about local things, but there are just so many absolutely unbelievable things going on I just wouldn’t know where to start. I WILL suggest you consider going to the next town council, County Commission and water/sewer board meetings. You might find them interesting.
