Grady D. Hill
A home-going celebration for Mr. Grady D. Hill was held Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Rockford with Rev. Stanford Benson officiating. Interment followed in the Rockford Cemetery.
Mr. Grady Hill’s earthly journey began on November 6, 1964, in Alexander City to the parents of Billy Frank Hill and Corene Elizabeth Hoyett Hill.
Mr. Hill departed the walk of life on July 3, 2023, under the care of Russell Medical Center, Alexander City. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ocie Hoyett Sr. and Minola Hoyett; paternal grandparents, Lofton and Merrell Hill; also uncles, Ocie Hoyett Jr. and Henry Hoyett.
He will forever be cherished by his loving parents, Billy and Corene Hill; sister, Kimberly Hill; and his brother, Tracey Hill Sr.; aunts, Ola Hoyett, Gloria Hunter, Sylvia Anderson, Toni Akinsanya, Billie Hill, and Thelma Hill; uncles, Rubin Hoyett, Jerome Hill, Perry (Chelsea) Hill, and Stanley (Agatha) Hill; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
Armour’s Memorial Funeral Home directed services.
TeQuiere Yvonne Hoyett
A Celebration of Life for TeQuiere Yvonne Hoyett was held Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Wright’s Funeral Home Chapel in Alexander City with Rev. Kenneth Jackson serving as eulogist. Interment followed at Peace and Goodwill Church Cemetery in Kellyton.
TeQuiere Hoyett was born on November 4, 1975, to Judy Ann Hoyett and the late Joseph Dewayne Benson in Hissop by a midwife.
At a young age she joined the family church, Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church, and had been a faithful member until her health began to fail.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Dewayne Benson; grandmother, Emma Estella Hoyett; grandfather, Johnny Hoyett; sister, Evetta Darsheika Hoyett; and nephews, Lil Donnie and DJ.
TeQuiere was called to rest on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Baptist Princeton Medical Center.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a mother, Judy Ann Hoyett; one daughter, Evetta Darsheika Hoyett; two sons, Keborris Latrell Hoyett and Jontavious Maurice Crayton (Monique); two sisters, Deandra Lynett Hoyett and Donwanna Lashay Hoyett; three brothers, Donnie Maurice Hoyett, Samriquez Juandell Hoyett (Kimyatta) and Terry Leonard; four aunts, Elois Hoyett, Kathlene Hoyett, Arthelia Dianne Hoyett, and Helen Benson; two uncles, Jerome Benson and Nathaniel Benson; eight grandkids; six nieces; three nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
