Dorothy “Dot” Johns Futral

 

Funeral service for Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Johns Futral, 94, of Goodwater, was Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the New Providence Baptist Church. Tim Green officiated. Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery.

Mrs. Futral passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at her residence. She was born on March 25, 1929, in Clay County to George Washington Johns and Tina Grogan Johns. She was a lifetime member of New Providence Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, James Roger Futral (Sharon Leigh) of Sylacauga; daughter, Judy Futral Voss (Eddie) of Goodwater; grandchildren, Krystal Futral Davis, James Ryan Futral, Rachel Nicole Futral; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Rae and Emma Grace Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Edson Futral; parents; and ten brothers and sisters.
