Kudos to the Town of Kellyton for refusing to ask for their donation to the animal shelter to be returned. And SHAME on the towns of Rockford and Goodwater for even wanting their money back, much less receiving it. The towns should do more instead of less; the animal shelter is what people want and animals need.
The towns should arrange for a town employee to man the shelter one day a week. Major businesses should make a similar move. School vo-tech classes could send students to work at the desk. We need a creative solution. We cannot let this die.
In the meantime, I am going to check out the upcoming new drive-thru ATM in Rockford, what a convenience! And then I can go to the produce stand across the highway and the Spring Fling in the park. I will be there with bells on my wings!
