Pet Corner
These adorable black and white puppies will be getting their shots tomorrow and will be ready for their forever homes.
While the Coosa County Animal Shelter is technically now closed and no longer accepting animals or donations, the shelter staff remains vigilant in trying to find homes for the many puppies and handful of juvenile dogs currently in the shelter’s care.
The shelter currently has 28 puppies and four juvenile dogs that will be looking for their forever homes. Some of the puppies are ready to be adopted now, and others will be finishing their rounds of shots in the coming weeks and will then be ready to adopt.
As such, the featured pets of the week this week are some of the puppies who will be ready for adoption tomorrow. There are four sweet black and white puppies who will be getting their shots tomorrow and then will be ready to find their forever homes. Could that be with you?
The puppies’ mom, a 2-year-old mix breed, is also ready to be adopted, so if you’re looking for an adult dog, maybe she’s the one for you.
The puppies have been fostered but will be at the shelter tomorrow. Anyone interested in seeing the puppies or any of the other adoptable pets at the shelter, call 256-391-7192 to set up an appointment for going to the shelter to visit the lovely dogs and puppies just looking for a family to call their own.
While the shelter continues to try to find good homes or rescues for these dogs entrusted to their care, they are offering an adoption special so those who adopt from them can also still get their new friend spayed or neutered.
Any dog or puppy adopted from the Coosa County Animal Shelter from now through the end of March will have an adoption fee of just $25, and that includes a spay or neuter voucher. Such a bargain!
This voucher is for the spay and neuter clinic in Trussville. Those rates are normally $75 for spaying a female and $60 for neutering a male, so those adopting an animal locally this month will get quite the deal.
Additionally, outside of that adoption special for this month, Dr. Baxley of Baxley Animal Hospital in Sylacauga has agreed to offer discounted rates at his clinic of $90 for spays and $75 for neuters just on animals adopted from the Coosa County shelter.
For more information or to see the pets available for adoption at the shelter, or learn more about puppies that will be available for adoption soon, call the shelter at 256-391-7192.
