Dorothy Ann Hill

 

Funeral service for Mrs. Dorothy Ann Hill, 76, of Alexander City, was Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Nelson officiated. Burial followed in the Hillview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hill passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Russell Medical. She was born on December 9, 1946, in Tallapoosa County to Walter B. Sims and Zora Pearl Davis Sims. She was a member of Chandler Mountain Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family. She retired from Russell Corporation as a winder after many years of service. She enjoyed working word search puzzles, talking on the phone and cooking, with biscuits being her specialty. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her beloved cat, Willie.

She is survived by her children, Janice Stockdale (George) of Alexander City, Jeff Flournoy (Debra) of Goodwater, Michael Harper (Traci) of Alexander City, and Elizabeth Michelle Bolan (Wayne) of Dadeville; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry Davis (Gladys), Glenn Sims, Jesse Sims, and Ricky Sims (Nora Jean).

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husbands, James Tilley and Fletcher Harper; and brothers, DeWalter Sims and Waymon Sims.

Debbie Gable White

 

Funeral service for Debbie Gable White, 64, of Sylacauga, was Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Radney-Smith Chapel.  Burial was in Tallasahatchie Cemetery in Alpine.

Mrs. White died Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Coosa Valley Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Hattie Gable; sibling, Eugene Gable; sibling, Barbara Reaves; sibling, Wayne Gable; and sibling, Billy Joe Gable.

She is survived by her spouse, Mack White Jr.; two sons, Clayton White and Mack White III; daughter, Sheri (Lynn) Tidwell; nine grandchildren, Savannah White, Grant White, Luke White, Angelica White, Mack White IV, Aaron White, Nicholas Tidwell, Parker Tidwell, Kayla Tidwell; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Grant, Luke, David, Corey, Joey, and Robert.
