Ronald J. Albright

Funeral service for Mr. Ronald J Albright, 76, of Goodwater, was Monday, February 6, 2023, at the Hatchet Creek Presbyterian Church. Bro. James Morgan officiated. Burial followed in the Brownville Cemetery.

Mr. Albright passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Coosa Valley Baptist Medical Center (Sylacauga). He was born on July 31, 1946, in Randolph County to George Leabern Albright and Velma Knight Albright Nolan. Ronald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his garden. His hobbies included working with his hands, watching Alabama Crimson Tide football and westerns.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cindy R. Albright; daughters, Judy Combs (Chris), Jacqueline Albright; sons, Raymond Albright (Tracy), Colby Albright (Amanda); grandchildren, Kay Combs, Samantha Castillo, Jack Combs, Madilynn Albright, David Castillo, Kynsli Albright, Lawson Albright, Walker Albright; sisters, Shirley Bunn, Judy Thompson (Derryl); brothers, David Albright (Nancy), Bruce Albright and Roger Albright (Cheryl); and sister-in-law, Gaynelle Albright.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Charles Nolan; brother, Jimmy Albright; and brother-in-law, Mo Bunn.

Charles Lee Colley

Funeral service for Mr. Charles Lee Colley, 92, of Alexander City, was Monday, February 6, 2023, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. Albert Pike officiated. Burial followed in the Hillview Memorial Park.
Mr. Colley passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Russell Medical. He was born on October 16, 1930, in Tallapoosa County to Barnie Lee Colley and Rosie Ella Tucker Colley. He was an active member of River Road Baptist Church and loved his church dearly. He faithfully served as a deacon for 32 years, taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and volunteered with the Brotherhood. For 40-plus years he worked at Russell Pipe Foundry as a molder, supervisor and mechanic. He enjoyed working on cars, boats, lawn equipment, and heavy equipment. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He loved his family very much and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.
He is survived by his sons, Charles E. Colley, Donald Randy Colley (Joann), Bobby Wayne Colley (Paula), and Richard M. Colley (Jacqueline) of Kellyton; grandchildren, Randall Colley (Jessica), Amanda Bishop, Tiffany McDonald, Jessica Pitchford (Jeremy), Whittney Colley (Christopher “Digs” Lamberth), and Jackson Colley; granddaughter-in-law, Heather Colley; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Colley (Julia) and Ernest Colley (Norma); and sisters-in-law, Maureen Colley and Dean Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Colley; sisters, Lois Browning, Sue Lovelady, and Faye Lowe; brothers, Byron Colley and John Colley; and grandson, William Colley.

Mitchell Joel Jennings

Mitchell Joel Jennings, age 68, of Sylacauga, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at his residence.

Mitchell is survived by his son, Chris Norris (Rachael); his daughters, Melody Haynes (Steven), Lanna Curry (Brandon) and Suzanne Meadows (Darryl); his brother, Michael L. Jennings; and nine grandchildren.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his father, Jack Jennings, and his mother, Sammie Jennings; his sister, Jennifer Lynn Jennings; his brothers, Jacky Ray Jennings, Tony Carver Jennings, and Jeffrey Lee Jennings.

A visitation for Mitchell was held Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home. Following the visitation there was a graveside service at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were Steven Haynes, Darryl Meadows, Kyle Jennings, Billy Helm, Reed Jennings, Landon Meadows, and Jacob Pruitt.

Omega Jennings Landreth

Graveside service for Omega Jennings Landreth, 91, of Sylacauga, was Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Odena Baptist Cemetery with Bro. David Vick officiating.

Mrs. Landreth died Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Coosa Valley Health Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Boyce G. Landerth; parents, Delilah Fuller Jennings and Fletcher Jennings; brother, F.W. Jennings; brother, Rev. Melvin Jennings; brother, Douglas Jennings; brother, Ottis Jennings; brother, Jack Jennings; and sister, Ann Jennings.

She is survived by her sister, Edna Faye Jennings Cook; special niece and caregiver, Tina (Glenn) Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews.
