Cordarius (D’Ollis) and Keyantae (Tae) Lee welcomed a new baby boy, Chandler Dream Lee, on January 25.
Union Square’s Neighborhood Watch meetings have started the year off right with our new leader, President Johnny Schmidt, and great things are being done.
Monday was the second meeting of the year, and it has already explored highly. Thanks to President Johnny, and we thank God for giving us another president who is a Godly man, which makes a difference in leading people and to better things God has provided.
Sheriff Howell and Deputy Scott discussed some important topics in great details, and Deputy Scott explained them very well. He and Sheriff Howell both gave Union Square a compliment of its action in the community. They passed out new calendars and those beautiful colorful “Coosa Journals” that we all are enjoying reading.
Commissioner Brandon Davis shared with us much needed information about the work being done for Coosa County. Davis said, “I am a little young, but I am doing older men duties, tasks, etc.” I am paraphrasing it.
Davis is striving to help the people of Coosa County as commissioner of District Three and not only in District Three. He said that all district commissioners should work together in unity. Commissioner Davis is a wonderful young man showing no signs of laziness, and that is what Coosa County needs. Let us help him to become an old man gracefully, and let’s do our part in serving.
Mrs. Pat Windsor won the door prize this month. Union Square wants to thank her for hosting a meet and greet neighborhood fellowship last Thursday to meet new neighbors and to know who your neighbors are, just being kind and welcoming our new neighbors. Twenty-nine people attended, including the new neighbors. It was well spent and very successful.
Rockford Councilman Cordarius (D’Ollis) Lee and wife, Keyantae (Tae) Lee, are happy parents again and want to announce their new addition to the family, another son, little Chandler Dream Lee, who arrived here on January 25, 2023, weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces.
Big brother, Carson D’Ollis, is happy to have a little baby brother although he wanted a little sister, and we all did. Congratulations to my chosen grandchildren, D’Ollis and Tae.
Happy birthday to Union Square’s Mrs. Charlyne DeBardelaben on February 8, Mrs. Robin Schmidt on February 2, and to all February babies.
Let’s keep praying for our country.
A moment of Black History: 38-year-old NBA all-time scoring leader LeBron James of the Lakers made history on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, scoring 38,388 – outscoring the all-time Kareem Abdul-Jabbar after 38 years of being the all-time scoring leader. Bravo to LeBron James the King, who we adore.
