Dear Concerned Citizen, thank you for your letter. I don’t know who did it. I am sorry you are upset.
I share your concerns about litter. Both littering and sign stealing are illegal, but the litter happens without thought, without concern, almost like a bodily reflex that afflicts certain people and annoys others.
I was flying around the other day and saw some folks driving the back roads in an expensive racing ATV (which is also technically illegal). On my way home I saw a few fresh cans thrown out, so I sighed that even people with money litter; they have the reflex.
Picking up litter on the back roads, or the main roads, would have such a great effect on the community. And it would make you feel like you have done something good. For nothing. What a double positive. I dare you to try it!
Wouldn’t the world be a better place if everyone that ever dropped a piece of trash picked up two? I will be watching for you as the weather warms. Get out there and get picking up, folks.
I’ll be your eye in the sky.
Love,
Buzzy
