Central Elementary teachers and administration provided students with an opportunity to have a dance as an incentive to try their best on the iReady standardized reading and math assessments. The incentive worked because there was a 22% increase in the number of students who tested on or above grade level in reading and a 15% increase in math, when compared to testing levels at the beginning of the school year.
All the students got to enjoy a dance during their gym class. Thank you to PTO for decorating and providing snacks, DJ Jason for providing music and physical education teachers Coach Bell and Coach Belyeu for chaperoning the dances throughout the day. The kids looked great and had a good time enjoying their iReady success.
