As preparations have been underway for the grand opening of the Coosa County Animal Shelter, Central High School SGA has partnered with the animal shelter to provide volunteers. Abigail Hyatt is the lead volunteer on the project, and she specifically chose this project because she plans to apply to Veterinary School at Auburn University. This project will give her some valuable experience in the field. Abigail is pictured with her sister and fellow SGA member, Hannah, who helped paint the interior of the shelter recently.
Also pictured are SGA members Morgan Williams; who helped paint shutters, rails and trim; and Vince Grogan and Tanner Hill who helped put together the outdoor kennels, as well as spread crush run. Thank you to Mr. Dennis Hill for providing this opportunity to our students. We look forward to our continued partnership as the shelter begins operations.
