Rockford Public Library was approved for two grants through Alabama Public Library Service at the end of 2021. The first grant provided the library with three new computers equipped with some of the Microsoft Office programs.
Two of these computers are available for use by library patrons (members) during regular library hours. A printer is also available for use with a small cost per each printed page. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill out a patron card, and you are all set.
The second grant provided the library with personal hotspot WiFi units. The library has two Verizon and one AT&T hotspots which are available for patrons.
Before checking out the hotspot, the patron must sign a statement that they are responsible for loss or damage to the unit. The hotspots have been well received in our community, and multiple students have utilized this program.
Stay tuned for the next column.
