This hearty dish is wonderful for family suppers or potluck meals and makes for some great comfort food. It is also a perfect side dish for your next holiday meal While the recipe calls for ham, you can omit the meat altogether, or you can substitute chicken in place of the ham if you wish. I hope that your family will enjoy this tasty scalloped potatoes recipe.
Ingredients:
Butter for greasing casserole dish
6 medium red potatoes, sliced 1/8 inch thick (2 lb. 4 oz. peeled)

1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. shredded gruyere cheese (can use cheddar)
