As part of their nine-week exam, senior government students write a comprehensive essay about three principles that are the foundation of American government. Students are required to quote excerpts from either the Declaration of Independence or U.S. Constitution stating the principles. Then for each principle they explain how the principle was put into practice by using three articles or amendments from the U.S. Constitution as evidence. Pictured is senior Mackenzie Cardwell using her pocket Constitution to write her essay.
