At the last home game of the football season, Central honored the senior band, cheer and football players in a pre-game ceremony. The Central Honor Guard stood in formation at parade reset as the band, cheer and football seniors were escorted down the 50-yard line by their parents and family members. The seniors shared the number of years they have been involved, their positions, favorite memories, and their plans after high school. Everyone was holding back tears as the seniors also shared special messages of appreciation for their team mates, coaches and parents.
Honored at the ceremony were Abigail Veith who has been a member of the color guard for four years, Makenna Sanders who has been in band since the seventh grade as a tenor and alto saxophone player, Skylar Newman who has been in band since the sixth grade as a clarinetist, Alissa Cosby who has been cheering since the seventh grade, Ry Gilbert who has played football for two years as a cornerback and wide receiver, LaDarrian Ransaw who has played football for six years as a defensive lineman, and Josh Harrison who has played football for four years as a cornerback and receiver. Congratulations to our seniors, and thank you to the parents, coaches and staff for supporting our seniors throughout the years. Pictures courtesy of PTO president Maressa Ware.
