Bobby Ralph Kirk

 

Funeral service for Mr. Bobby Ralph Kirk, 84, of Alexander City, will be Friday, October 7, 2022, at 12 p.m. at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Green will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home.

Mr. Kirk passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Goodwater Healthcare Center. He was born on April 16, 1938, in Clay County to James William Kirk and Eunice Ardice Rice Kirk. Mr. Kirk was a Methodist by faith. He was very mechanically minded and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working on cars and was known as the man to call to repair water wells. He had a great sense of humor and always had a very frugal mindset. He also enjoyed playing Rook, gardening and working in his yard.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lizzie Mae Pasley Kirk of Goodwater; children, Bobby D. Kirk (Jana) of Kellyton, Vera J. Kirk of Birmingham, Betty K. Buxton of Alexander City, William Timothy Kirk (Kay) of Crane Hill, and Loretta Lynn Kirk of Alexander City; grandchildren, Christopher Kirk (Mallory), Billy Henderson (Tena), Calvin Buxton, Tanya Williams (Robbie), Lindsey Morgan, Shelly Looser (Colton), Justin Kirk (Charlsie), and Jarrett Kirk; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Peters (Landon), Ethan Henderson, Waylon Kirk, Cooper Kirk, Evan Looser, and Isla Looser.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Kirk, James Kirk, Gene Kirk, and Paul Kirk; sisters, Motier Kirk, Ruth McDaniel, Nell Harrison, Hazel Mosley, Margaret Lightsey, and Zelma Giddens; great-grandchildren, Olivia Faith Morgan and Gracelynn Nichole Shurum.
