This year’s homecoming photo shoot took place at the historic Women’s Club House in Rockford. The club house, which was built in 1932, is on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage. The club house was built during the midst of the Great Depression. Accounts of the building process indicate that the women raised the funds needed to build, received donations of some materials, and gathered the rock themselves from the surrounding area. Thank you to Mrs. Shelia Ward, president of the Coosa County Historical Society, for providing information on the historic house and having the grounds maintained for our photo shoot. Pictured from top left are seniors Kieasia Tuck, Grace Calfee, Emma Whaley, and Sterling Heath, juniors Rebekah Burton and McKay Kelley, sophomores Izabel Whaley and Traci Cox, freshmen Meori Smith and Katie Meeks, eighth graders Jade Williams and Marlee Johnson (not pictured) and seventh graders Destini Kelley and Anna Grace Trussell.
Central High School is also announcing Homecoming King candidates for the 2022 homecoming game. Pictured from the left are Roderick Graham, Kyle Ballard, Quin Gilbert, Wesley Casas, Joshua McCurty, and Torrance Kelley (not pictured). The Homecoming Parade is at 2 p.m. at Keith Bullard Stadium.
