An old man and woman were married for years even though they hated each other. When they had a fight screams and yelling could be heard all through the night.
The neighbors feared the husband the most. They heard him tell his wife many times, “When I die, I’m going to dig my way up out of the grave to come back and haunt you for the rest of your life!”
The neighbors believed he practiced black magic and that he was responsible for several missing cats and dogs. They also heard strange sounds at all hours of the night. The man was feared by everyone who knew him, and he enjoyed the respect it got him.
One day he died suddenly under somewhat strange circumstances. The wife had a closed casket funeral for him. After the burial, his wife went straight to the local bar and began to party like there was no tomorrow.
Her actions were pretty extreme. The neighbors finally got the courage to ask her, “Are you not afraid? Are you not concerned? Are you not worried? This man practiced black magic and said that when he died he would dig his way up out of the grave and come back to haunt you for the rest of your life.”
The wife put down her drink and said, “Let him dig! I had him buried upside down.”
