Jerolyn Dark Cross
The family will receive friends and family during the visitation at the Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Graveside burial will follow in the Dark-Maxwell Cemetery.
Jerolyn Dark Cross passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at Saint Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza, Kansas City, Missourri. Jerolyn was born in Coosa County on May 21, 1942, to James Henry Dark and Ruth Carlton Dark.
Jerolyn was a devoted mother to her children, Shannon Davis (Russell) and Dann Slayden Cross III (Sharon), and grandmother to three granddaughters and three grandsons.
Jerolyn is survived by the aforementioned; her sisters, Martha Loyd (Charles) of Alexander City and Beth Trout (Richard) of Hawaii; her brother, James Paul Dark (Glenda) of Goodwater; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Glenn Wade Dark.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute or Saint Luke’s Hospice House.

Michael Todd Steadman
Graveside service for Mr. Michael Todd Steadman, 47, of Rockford, will be Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at the Socopatoy Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Steadman passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Lake Martin Community Hospital. He was born on November 8, 1974, in Alexander City to James L. Steadman and Nancy Toland Bavar. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith as a child. He loved his family very much and he himself was easy to love. He could always make a bad situation good. He enjoyed fishing and working with his hands. He enjoyed working on cars and doing landscape work. Todd was a giver and would like to help those less fortunate than him.
Todd is survived by his mother, Nancy Bavar (Cecil); father, James L. Steadman (Susan); brother, Chris Steadman (Alyssa); nephew, Hudson Lane Steadman; grandmother, Sarah Steadman; step-sisters, Sandy Brasher (Robin), Shelly Rush (Darrel), Brook Peppers (Dennis), and Sydney Miller (Phillip); aunts and uncles, Bruce and Linda Graham, James and Pat Toland and Paul Steadman; cousins, Lynn and Jennifer Diffly, Misty and Adam Wade, Celeste and Travis Thornton, Jimmy and Beth Toland, LeLe and Jeff Dean, and Amy Way.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dalton Steadman; grandfather, Albert Steadman; grandparents, Charles and Ressie Toland; and step-sister, Paige Barclay.
