Donald “Dino” Hardman

 

Funeral service for Mr. Donald “Dino” Hardman, 51, of Alexander City, was Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Hillview Memorial Park.

Mr. Hardman passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Russell Medical. He was born on August 13, 1970, in Alexander City, to Tom Frank Hardman and Marie Simpson Hardman. Donald was a wonderful hardworking father who was always there for his children. He enjoyed making memories with his boys like watching football games while enjoying family dinners, serving as Cub Master, going on many camping trips, and attending any sporting events in which they were involved. He enjoyed problem solving, was a huge Alabama fan and an avid gun collector.

He is survived by his sons, Wesley Allen Hardman (Jade), Austin Hardman, Tristan Dwayne Hardman; siblings Debbie Pilgrim (Michael), Billy Wall (Rita), Butch Hardman (Ruby), Nancy Phillips, Donna Green, and the Stokes family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 16 years, Brandy Hardman; parents; and brothers, Mike and Tommy Hardman.

In lieu of flowers the family will accept gift certificates or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Dino’s memory.

Byron Edsel Hughes

 

Byron Edsel Hughes, 80, of Rockford, passed away August 7, 2022, at his residence in Rockford.

He was born July 21, 1942, in Alabama, son of the late Byron Hughes and the late Pauline Hughes.

He was an Ag Construction Teacher for 25 years, and he also ran Barrett’s Fish Camp for over 35 years. Mr. Hughes was an active deacon at Providence Baptist Church for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Guy Ward Hughes; son, Darren Hughes; daughter, Ursula (Jeremy) Allen; grandson, Cameron (Brittany) Taylor; granddaughter, Ashley (Jacob Beilstein) Taylor; grandson, Koby Allen; great-granddaughter, Everleigh Grace Taylor; sister, Janice (Lauf) Hendon; and a host of other family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Byron Edsel Hughes Sr.; mother, Pauline Hilyer Hughes; and brother, JB Hughes.

Services were held Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Providence Baptist Church in Coosa County with Rev. Jeff Hardy, Rev. Paul Shaw and George Gardin officiating.

Interment followed in Ward Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to Providence Baptist Church.
