The Buzz
Buzzy the Buzzard
I noticed some dead dogwood trees at the cemetery. This will make a bad first impression on our beloved town, or a bad last impression, or a bad first impression of a last impression.
Who cares for these trees anyway? And can they be replaced with something healthy? Like crepe myrtles that are nearly impossible to kill, despite all sorts of inept pruning.
Two things happened last week that made my old heart glad. First, the Church of God’s event at the playground. How great to see kids outdoors playing in the water. Reminds me of when I was a baby bird!
Also, I was caught out on vacation with my ‘cuz. At least Pam made me look handsome; thanks so much!
And kudos to the town of Kellyton for stepping up and donating to the Coosa County Animal Shelter. Ms. Christa’s article portrayed their town meeting as efficient and transparent; a paragon of municipality.
I am looking forward to the change of season, rumble strips, and more positive changes to our community. As things develop, I will be your eye in the sky!
Love,
Buzzy
