Energy and excitement were back in the air at Coosa County schools as parents and students attended back-to-school orientations. Attendees rotated through different stations. Administration welcomed parents and students and provided general information regarding attendance and policies. One announcement was the Board-approved change to the dress code for both elementary and high school students, which allows rips in jeans as long as no skin is showing above the knee. For elementary students only, they can now wear athletic shorts and pants, as well. The universal no-fee breakfast and lunch continues this year, as well as no fee for lockers for high school students this year. With the re-opening of the Coosa County Career Tech Center (CCCTC), high school students will once again be transported to the CCCTC to take their career-tech classes in the hands-on learning environment at CCCTC. Administrators also announced the new school website address, which is www.coosaschools.org.
