The Pride of Coosa County band, directed by Mr. Daryl Ingram, started their two-week camp this week and will continue next week. They are preparing for the new half-time show, which will have a sports movie theme. The band is learning fan favorites such as “The Eye of the Tiger” from “Rocky,” “Sweet Caroline” from “Fever Pitch,” “The Hey Song” from “The Replacements,” and “Ain’t no Mountain High Enough” from “Remember the Titans.” Pictured is band member Micheal Thomas showing Owen Mathis the correct marching techniques.
Sno Biz came to give the band members an opportunity to cool off. Pictured enjoying the Sno Biz cones are Mrs. Villagrana and her daughters Jordyn, a percussionist; and Crista, who plays bass guitar. Thank you to the band boosters who run the concession stand for the home football games. They are having a concession work day Saturday, August 6, at 8 a.m.
