Central Elementary School principal, Kara Forbus, shared the following, “Central Elementary School celebrated a month of summer learning and fun at Camp Learn S’More with an end-of-camp celebration at Poplar Point on July 1. Families were invited to share this time with their campers as they visited the pool one last time, enjoyed an inflatable water slide and cooled off with a Snobiz treat. Everyone was also treated to a delicious meal in the gymnasium cooked by Superintendent David Stover. I would like to thank the students for attending, their families for supporting them, and the faculty and staff for their hard work. A special thanks also goes to the Coosa County Board of Education and SAFE of Sylacauga for funding the program, to the staff of the Coosa County Extension Office, 4-H and members of other agencies and volunteers who assisted in their programming, as well as the staff of Poplar Point for being gracious hosts.”
