Lizzie Pearl “Pul” Harrell

A Celebration of Life for Lizzie Pearl “Pul” Harrell was held Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Alexander City with Pastor Robert Hargrove III serving as eulogist. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Lizzie Pearl “Pul” Harrell was born July 29, 1963, to the late Mr. Willie James Sr. and the late Mrs. Willie Mae Harrell in Coosa County.

She was a member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and remained faithful until death. She birthed no children, yet she cared for her nieces and nephews and many other children as if they were her very own. Lizzie loved to sing and joke around although she was quiet spirited, but when she spoke, “she spoke.”

Lizzie Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Frances Blair and Margaret Harrell; and two brothers, Willie Harrell Jr. and James Rickey Harrell.

She peacefully transitioned home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Southeast Medical Health Center in Dothan.

Lizzie leaves to cherish her memories, three brothers, John Henry Harrell, Johnny Lewis Harrell, both of Alexander City, Tyrone (Bernith) Herron of Camp Hill; four sisters, Dorothy Faye (Rev. Stanford) Benson, Bonnie (Bay) Baggett, Gloria Harrell, all of Alexander City, Chaka (Willie) Gooden of North Carolina; affectionate memories: four special nieces, Shania, Samiya, Kieasia, and Brieasia, all of Alexander City; a special great-niece and nephew who captured her heart, Kyra Burns and Braxtyn Tuck; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; along with a devoted friend who was always there for her, Felicia Brookins.
