Barbara Vann Bentley Rainwater

 

Graveside service for Mrs. Barbara Vann Bentley Rainwater, 83, of Rockford, will be Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Rockford City Cemetery. Bro. Matthew Reams will officiate.

Mrs. Rainwater passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Russell Medical. She was born on July 29, 1938, in Sylacauga to John L. Bentley and Fannie Laura Miller Bentley. She was a member of Rockford Baptist Church. Barbara was a loving mother and a sweet lady who never complained and always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed reading, watching NASCAR and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, John Rainwater, Terry Rainwater (Sheila); daughter, Linda Littrell; grandchildren, Austin Rainwater (Savannah) and Cody Littrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Toby Rainwater.

Terrie L Robinson

 

Funeral service for Mrs. Terrie L Robinson, 51, of Kellyton, was Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Randall Stone and Rev. Vince Lee officiated. Burial followed in the Hillview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Robinson passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Russell Medical. She was born on September 20, 1970, in Opelika to James Richard Shaddix and Sherry Ann McCormick Shaddix. She was an active member of True Holiness Church of God for over 20 years. She had a strong Christian faith and loved God. Terrie was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed being outdoors watching the deer, fishing, and baking wonderful cakes for her family and others. Some of her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family and watching her dogs, Bella and Scrappy, play.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Michael Robinson; sons, J.C. Milam, Chad Milam (Ana); brothers, Scotty Shaddix (Michelle), Randy Shaddix (Dodi); sisters-in-law, Tammy Robinette (David), Rachel McClellan (Daryl), Pat Perez (Fidel); brother-in-law, Harold Robinson (Linda); cousin, Rhonda Smith (Mickey); and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lisa Shaddix; grandmother, Lela McCormick; mother-in-law, Myrtle Robinson; and brother-in-law, Phillip Robinson.

Jack “Pop” B. Varner

 

Memorial service for Jack “Pop” B. Varner, 75, of Weogufka, was Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Weogufka 2nd Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Camp, Bro. David Mann and Bro. Brandon Baird officiating.

Mr. Varner died Monday, March 7, 2022, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Varner; mother, Gertrude Varner; brother, Johnny Varner; and great-granddaughter, Harper Varner. Mr. Varner was known in the community for his little red and white truck.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lynn “Mimi” Varner; son, Quint (Karen) Varner; daughter, Candi (Mike) Willis; six grandchildren, Morgan (Chase) Herman, Myles (Casey) Varner, Abby Willis, Maggie Willis, Gracie Willis, Grayton Willis; two great-grandchildren, Riley Varner, Ridge Varner; brother, Roger Varner; and sister, Sybil Kirkpatrick.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Weogufka 2nd Baptist Church.
